In yet another case of spending your hard earned coin to make Satya an even richer asshole, I’m fscking fed up with that tiny lobed Ferengi constantly sucking off me (which is considerably different than putting those words topsy turvy)!
Lets give him less information to turn into profit.
First, dump the telemetry – even more so if, like me, you choose to still run Windows 10.
Steps to Disable Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry via Task Scheduler
- Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type
taskschd.mscand press Enter to open the Task Scheduler.
- Expand the folders on the left: Task Scheduler Library → Microsoft → Windows → Application Experience.
- Find Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser in the middle pane.
- Right-click on it and select Disable.
- Restart your computer to finish the process.
Additionally, you can do a reg hack:
- Press Windows Key + R, type
regedit, and press Enter.
- Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\DataCollection.
- Double-click AllowTelemetry and set its value data to
0
